President, Amadeus Asia Pacific
David has prime responsibility for driving strategic commercial development in the region, which has rapidly become a major source of growth for Amadeus globally. Amadeus is now the leading provider of technology for the travel and tourism industry in Asia Pacific.
Recognising the benefits of proximity to customers in terms of local market knowledge and responsiveness, Amadeus has progressively regionalised its operations. In the Bangkok regional headquarters there are now more than 250 travel industry experts, in addition to more than 1,100 professionals in the 39 individual markets that make up the Asia Pacific region.
David’s leadership focus is dedicated to optimising new market opportunities in Asia Pacific, and developing strong relations with travel agencies, corporations, airlines and travel service providers. In addition, he directs a network of local Amadeus Commercial Organisations. Previously, David held the position of Director Markets, Americas & Asia Pacific from 1995, and in 1997 he was appointed Director, Global Customer Support.
David began his career with Amadeus in 1989 as a financial analyst. Prior to that, he worked for an international banking and management consultancy for six years, specialising in finance and market research.
Educated in England, David graduated with an Honours degree in Economics from the University of East Anglia.
