Denis Lacroix
VP, Product Development, Sales & e-Commerce Platforms
Denis Lacroix was appointed VP, Product Development, Sales & e-commerce Platforms in November 2007. The division is responsible for the delivery of Amadeus’ entire range of Sales and e-Commerce Platforms: the e-Retail B2C web offering for airlines, travel agencies, and hoteliers; the e-Travel Management corporate, self-booking tool; the Amadeus Selling Platform front-office and portal for Travel Agencies, Altéa Reservation Desktop for airline call centres, airport and city ticket offices, and also Checkmytrip.com.
Denis is a seasoned travel industry developer with many years of experience working in Amadeus' development operation. He has demonstrated his understanding of customer requirements and is considered a pioneer of Web technology within Amadeus.
Denis was appointed Director, Product Development in March 2002 responsible for the e-Travel product development and operations teams in Nice and Boston, and improving and enhancing the e-Travel consumer, corporate and portal product range.
Prior to that, as Director, Amadeus OCG (Online Corporate Group), Product Design & Development, Denis had full responsibility for all design and development activities for Amadeus' online initiatives. Previously, he was Director of Development for Amadeus' Distributed Systems division, leading the design and development of Amadeus' Front Office Systems for airlines and travel agencies.
Denis began his career with Amadeus in 1989 and was responsible for the software architecture of the original Amadeus Front Office Systems product line. Before joining Amadeus, Denis was a senior software engineer for Digital Equipment Corporation and IBM's Yorktown Heights Research Laboratories in New York, USA.
A French national, Denis graduated from the Ecole Centrale de Paris.
