A large Departure Control common platform
In only four years, Altéa Departure Control (DC) - Flight Management has become by far the leading flight weight and balance solution, chosen by more than 50 airlines carrying 300 million passengers. Altéa DC - Flight Management is the only new generation DCS currently available: Qantas implemented the solution in 2007, Finnair in early 2008 and South African Airways In 2009.
In 2000, British Airways mandated Amadeus to build its new generation departure control system. In addition, Amadeus took ownership of BA's RTB system. Since then Amadeus has contracted and implemented 13 new airlines on Altéa Departure Control RTB, a revised version of RTB.
To date, Amadeus is already operating critical DC - Flight Services for 24 airlines carrying 100 million passengers and 20 ground handlers boarding 10 million passengers per year.
