KLM Systems Services, a name synonymous with innovation and reliability, have for the last three decades provided CODECO, the Departure Control System (DCS) of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines to other airlines, ground handlers and airports worldwide to manage flight departures. CODECO currently handles 110 million passengers a year worldwide, 87 million of who are processed on behalf of 55 third-party customers. CODECO DCS is used by 330 airlines at 280 airports around the globe.
In 2007 Air France KLM decided to move to a new generation of DCS integrated into a powerful airline management system - Altéa. At the same time the decision was made by KLM Systems Services to end CODECO hosting. Because CODECO is such a big player in the market, it was important to guarantee customers long-term continuity of service and price as they migrate to Altéa starting in 2010, therefore every function provided by CODECO will be at least matched by Altéa.
Feedback from CODECO's customers regarding the new Altéa DCS has been very positive. The clear proof of this is that since the 2007 announcement of the migration to Altéa, KLM Systems Services has continued to grow its business by 13% with five new CODECO contracts. This is a clear demonstration that KLM Systems Services has established itself as a competent and trusted intermediary to migrate its customers onto the Altéa DCS of Amadeus.
With their wealth of experience, KLM Systems Services believe that Amadeus provides the right set of solutions for the needs of their current CODECO customers.
