Amadeus Ticketless Access carriers’ flight information is shown in all Amadeus displays mixed with the full service carriers flights
last available fares and seat information are returned to the Amadeus users, directly from the Ticketless Access Carrier’s inventory system
at PNR completion, following End Of Transaction and if the payment is validated by the Airline, the booking confirmation is returned from the target carrier system including the carrier own Record locator. The airline record locator stands for the booking confirmation number for that Ticketless Access Airline. It must be provided to the traveler as its serves for the checking at the airport
the returned carrier Record Locator enables the user to make sure that a booking has been successfully and securely recorded in the Low Cost Carrier inventory system
the current Amadeus Record Return functionality (used as an option in other Amadeus Access products) is embedded in Amadeus Ticketless Access
all this is allowed thanks to a technological leap: the airline web services system API is interactively accessed using XML message format
this new type of access requires a number of mandatory PNR elements and a mandatory payment before end of transaction.

Main restrictions*

A PNR must contain only one Amadeus Ticketless Access carrier's segment(s)
a PNR cannot mix Amadeus Ticketless Access carrier and a Full Service Carrier segments
due to the airline system's constraints, a PNR cannot be modified or canceled in Amadeus after end of transaction.
* Some of the current restrictions will be removed at a later stage when enhancements are introduced.

a cost-free integration: no need for the Low Cost Carriers to move to IATA EDIFACT messages or AIRIMP to communicate with the Amadeus Central System. Amadeus has the technology for accessing the carrier web services and for communicating in the carrier language, the XML type of message format
higher yields are possible thanks to a higher mix of business travel
a wider reach of traveler thanks to the Amadeus multi-channel network, reaching thousands of Amadeus professional point of sale from all channels (Travel Agencies, ATO/CTO, OLTAs)
a new or a larger worldwide exposure to areas where the internet access is underdeveloped and where Amadeus presence can serve Ticketless Access airline booking volume expansion and Market share
