Amadeus Payment Capture Enriched capture file allowing merchant service fee decrease

Amadeus Payment Capture Overview

As a complement to the payment processing at front office features, Amadeus offers a capture solution for all forms of payment. Amadeus payment capture solution allows the acquisition of sales and payment information in order to submit the payment transactions for settlement toward the airline's acquiring bank as per airline's business rules. Amadeus is responsible for sending the capture message directly to the acquirers and send a reconciliation report to the airline.

Main Amadeus Payment Capture features

Daily batch file
  • Once the HOT reporting file is produced, the capture file is built and sent directly to the airline's acquiring bank via Sftp
Daily reconciliation report
  • Amadeus sends a daily report to the airline including all transactions from the capture file for future reconciliation process
Multiple capture link
  • Capture files can be sent to as many acquirers as needed according to airline request

Business impact

  • Reduced cost

Offer enriched capture file with PNR data, completing the payment information and making it more secured, which leads to merchant service fees decrease

Amadeus stores the credit card information; therefore airlines do not need to store the credit card information in their own systems. It removes partially the complexity of PCI-DSS compliancy and thus reduces cost

  • Efficient IT model

Offer one-stop-shop offer from payment acceptance to capture thus enables full visibility to the acquirer

  • Increase Productivity

Enriched capture file with PNR data saves time for reconciliation and dispute management

Who can use it?

All customers having Amadeus Card Acceptance can use Payment Capture.

Why take it?

  • Enable payment data to be fully complemented by the sales data, creating an enriched capture file. A unique Amadeus feature, offering full visibility to the acquirer, potentially allowing a merchant service fee decrease, and simplifying compliance with PCI-DSS regulations
  • Airlines have one single supplier to interface with their acquirers
